PHILOSOPHY

The Catholic creed prizes the sacrifice, the Protestant one prizes the success.

by Diana Baroni

Are the major two christian religions cause of anthitetic social behaviours in the latin and anglosaxon societies?

"I wouldn't keep on sacrificing myself for the common wealth, that's never also mine. And I wouldn't, or better I couldn't, to take care of my wealth against the other's wealth. I would like to win, and my victory should be free from the shame of the others defeat. I would like to win the dualism, present in too many aspect of life, in this case between love and freedom." Is it possible a fruitful interface between the Latin-Catholic cultures and the Anglophon-Protestant ones?

by A. Autino

If the Lord of the Protestants and the Lord of the Catholics would agree on the ethic reinvestment of the success we woluld have: for the Catholics a downsizing of the sense of guilty, a larger aim to honest success and a less feeling villains when we have success; on the Protestants side we would have a better solidaristic approach toward the others, the other etnic communities, other countries. FREEDOM FOR  SCIENCE

In order to begin a discussion about the 8 x 1000 of the tax incomes to the Scientific Research.

by A. Autino

If just we are worried that, giving more choices to the tax payers about the current 8x1000 it would remove something to someone, let's leave the current 8x1000 as it is -- destinabile only to the churches -- and let's institute a new additional 8x1000, allowed to be destinated to the research. DISCUSSION

Informatics – Science and technics

di L. Spairani (italian language)

The step from science to technics is not yet feasible because, maybe, "information science" is not yet a "normal" science[...], thus new paradigms are expected to born, able to run a real software engineering.                               [follows]

Two Steps Forward

by Dr. Michael Martin Smith

Expansion into Space will require understanding of biology, the physiology of bones, muscles and hearts, intensive food production , cultivation of greenhouse plants from seed to crop and second generation propagation , and economical recycling of air, water, wastes, and food as far as possible. Much of this will be done within the programmes of Astrobiology - a new multidisplinary approach to questions of the origin, evolution, and distribution of Life in the cosmos.
